Professional Training Organizations (School Districts / Federal, State or County Agencies / Museums / Community Agencies / Trainers of Trainers)

Professional training organizations may use the CML MediaLit Kit to:

  • Teach the media literacy process as a skill area in itself
  • Attach the media literacy process discretely to a particular theme or content area typically covered through the organization's training programs
  • Embed the media literacy process into materials or training.
  • Ascribe the media literacy process used in its training or materials to CML and the CML MediaLit Kit, for recognized credibility and quality from a known leader in the field.

CML asks that the rules of Fair Use apply to the MediaLit Kit adoption by professional training organizations; CML encourages co-branding training or materials with appropriate licensing arrangements.

CML provides customized licensing programs for training organizations interested in teaching media literacy, using CML's framework and identity. As part of such a licensing program, CML provides training for staff and trainers, teaching materials, permissions for promotion and co-branding, and quality assurance.
